Highlights

On a night of tremendous drama and stress at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Arsenal wilted and then disintegrated, with Cedric Soares' push on Heung-Min Son awarding Harry Kane a penalty in the 22nd minute, which he converted to give Spurs the lead.

Overawed by the atmosphere and occasion, the Gunners were reduced to ten men when Rob Holding was sent off for a careless barge on Son (33), and Spurs only needed four minutes to double their lead as Kane stooped to head in his second.

Any chance of an Arsenal comeback was erased when Son scored his 21st goal of the season 70 seconds into the second half as Spurs cruised to win, cutting fourth-placed Arsenal's lead in the battle for a top-four finish to a point with two games remaining.

Arsenal still has a chance to qualify for the Champions League, but the destructive nature of this north London derby meltdown, combined with a less than ideal run-in, will give Tottenham renewed hope of finishing ahead of the Gunners in the top four.
