Inter Milan 3-0 Spezia

Romelu Lukaku was the highlight of Inter Milan's 3-0 victory over Spezia on Saturday, their second victory in as many Serie A games after his return from Chelsea.

The Belgian forward contributed to two goals, one by Lautaro Martinez and the other by Hakan Alhanolu, and was replaced by Edin Dzeko in the 68th minute to the jubilant cheers of the home crowd.

In the 82nd minute, Dzeko assisted fellow replacement Joaquin Correa in scoring the third goal.

Before halftime, Lukaku nearly added to his goal from Inter's opening victory over recently promoted Lecce by crashing a header off the crossbar.

Although Inter enjoyed an early advantage, the home crowd had to wait until the 35th minute for Martinez to score. Lukaku returned a cross from Nicolo Barella for the Argentine to shoot inside the left post.

In the 52nd minute, Milan Skriniar received a pass from Lukaku after the Belgian sped past one defender and faced five further opponents. Despite being stopped, Skriniar's attempted return pass dropped nicely for Alhanolu to score.

Also on Saturday, Sassuolo defeated Lecce 1-0 thanks to a fantastic strike from Domenico Berardi in the first half.

Atalanta 1-1 AC Milan

Despite being held to a 1-1 draw away to Atalanta on Sunday night, Ismael Bennacer's outstanding equalizer saved a point for AC Milan.

In spite of rumors of an impending move, Ruslan Malinovskyi unexpectedly started for the home team, and he scored the game's first goal early in the first half.

Bennacer went inside a defender and curled a shot into the bottom corner in the 68th minute as Milan increased their pressure after the half.

Both teams have four points after their first two games, and they are two points behind Inter Milan and Napoli, the early leaders.

Many were taken aback by Gian Piero Gasperini's decision to start rumored Tottenham target Malinovskyi, as the Atalanta coach had only the day before criticized the midfielder's six-goal season total and stated that he preferred fresh recruits with "more acceptable attributes."

Malinovskyi scored the game's first goal after 29 minutes in remarkable fashion, blasting home a powerful effort via a deflection after being given time and space on the outskirts of the box.

Both teams had opportunities prior to the goal, with Milan's greatest chance coming when Junior Messias was left unguarded at the back post and shot into the side netting rather than finding a teammate for a tap-in.

As Milan replied in the second half, Pierre Kalulu headed over and Rafael Leao's looping drive soared just over, but Mike Maignan had to be on guard to tip over a Mario Pasalic header.

In an effort to spark the offensive, Olivier Giroud and the Rossoneri's high-profile summer acquisition Charles De Ketelaere came off the bench. The young Belgian player promptly threaded a pass into Tonali's path, but Musso blocked his shot.

Bennacer's spectacular finish allowed Milan to finally break through as they started to apply more pressure, but neither team was able to score a game-winning goal in the dying minutes.

AS Roma 1-0 Cremonese

Chris Smalling nods in the game-winning goal, but both Roma and Cremonese had plenty of scoring chances, hitting the goal frame and forcing outstanding saves.

Ionut Radu was put to the test by Lorenzo Pellegrini, Paulo Dybala, and Nicola Zaniolo, while Tammy Abraham was denied by an excellent Emanuele Valeri block.

Just as Stephan El Shaarawy's shot was fingertipped onto the woodwork, Cyriel Dessers missed with a pair of bicycle kicks then slammed the crossbar with a volley.

Smalling scored the game-winning goal off a Lorenzo Pellegrini corner, but both teams had further chances and saves.

Sampdoria 0-0 Juventus

In their match against Genoa, Massimiliano Allegri's team attempted to make it seven wins in a row in the Serie A, but they were unable to get past a staunch defense.

Adrien Rabiot believed he had given Samp the lead late in the game, but the goal was disallowed due to a VAR check, and Samp held on to earn their first point of the year.

The Bianconeri finish fourth as a result of Monday's draw because they failed to find a cutting edge and lost points.

Abdelhamid Sabiri's exquisite through ball found Mehdi Leris in the area after just six seconds, but the midfielder's dipping effort hit Mattia Perin's hip and the crossbar instead.

After that, Emil Audero made a crucial save by tipping a deflected Filip Kostic shot that was heading for the top corner over the bar.

Rabiot thought he had given his team the lead after the break with a superb first-time left-foot effort, but the VAR disallowed it because Dusan Vlahovic was offside throughout the buildup.

Sampdoria held on for a tenacious point as Juve made a late drive for a victory. Kostic nearly found one when he volleyed at goal in stoppage time, but Audero blocked the ball away.
