Highlights 

In a tense start, Kai Havertz challenged Jordan Pickford from a tight angle before Kyle Walker was forced to make a crucial save to prevent Thomas Müller from converting a tap-in.

Kane stung Manuel Neuer's palms with a stinging right-footed shot from just inside the box at the other end, before the Germany goalkeeper mishandled a corner into the path of the England captain, who could only smash over.

Just before the break, England appeared to be in control, but they fell behind immediately after the break. Jonas Hofmann, who had an earlier strike called out for offside, was given space in the area and, after receiving a pass from Joshua Kimmich, unleashed a ferocious right-footed shot that Pickford could only tip into the net.

Pickford had to be at his best to push Müller's half-volley around the post, but Neuer soon leveled the goalkeeping stakes. Kane did well to reach Jack Grealish's tempting cross and attempted to guide his strike beyond the reach of the goalkeeper, but Neuer was ideally positioned to deflect it away from danger.

Tottenham's striker would not be denied, and with just two minutes remaining, he leveled the score. Kane was chased down by Nico Schlotterbeck and sent Neuer the wrong way to ensure the rewards were shared.
