Manchester United 0-1 Atletico Madrid
Manchester United were knocked out of the Champions League by Atletico Madrid in the round of 16 after failing to deliver another magnificent night beneath the lights at Old Trafford.
Renan Lodi's 42nd-minute header knocked Ralf Rangnick's team out of Europe's highest competition, while Diego Simeone's men guaranteed a comfortable passage to the quarter-finals with a typically resolute display. The Red Devils got off to a good start, but Atletico Madrid's opening shattered their spirits, and the second half was a tale of United huffing and puffing in vain.
Los Rojiblancos owe their victory to goalie Jan Oblak's heroics, which means Rangnick and his teammates will spend another five years without a title. Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid remains hopeful of winning the Champions League for the first time in their history.

Ajax 0-1 Benfica
The first half was all Ajax, much like when the clubs met in Lisbon. Antony menaced down the right, Duan Tadi plotted on the left, and Ryan Gravenberch gently strolled in the middle like a man in velvet slippers. Despite their superiority, the hosts had nothing to show for it at halftime.
Soualiho Meté came on to break up Ajax's flow, and Benfica comfortably kept the Dutch team at bay until they got a free-kick near the corner flag with 13 minutes remaining. To put the Eagles through, Lex Grimaldo swung it in, and Darwin ascended gloriously above his marker and past the onrushing André Onana.

Juventus 0-3 Villarreal
Unai Emery's side put up a perfect European away performance, but they needed Rulli to create the platform in the first half.
Within the first 20 minutes, the visiting goalkeeper stopped lvaro Morata and Duan Vlahovi with superb saves, and was glad to see the latter's lovely shot come off the crossbar.
Before the break, Rulli and Vlahovi were at it again, with a point-blank stop this time keeping the score even.
Gerard Moreno started Villarreal on their way when he converted – just – from the penalty spot, turning the tide in the blink of an eye. Pau Torres then scored from close range to ensure Villarreal's progress, with Arnaut Danjuma adding gloss with a penalty kick of his own in additional time.
Both teams may be forgiven for being perplexed as to how it came to be.

LOSC 1-2 Chelsea
The scoreline may appear to be comfortable, but make no mistake: Chelsea's credentials were scrutinized in northern France. The hosts were instructed by former LOSC boss Rudi Garcia to "insert elements of lunacy into this encounter," and they did it at times. The holders were rocked for a brief time as Burak Ylmaz scored from the penalty spot.
Jorginho made amends right before the break, closing off an intricate move with a delightful through pass that Pulii received before firing an exquisite strike across goal into the bottom corner.
