Chelsea vs Lille

Chelsea won a hard-fought 1-0 victory at Crystal Palace on Saturday to follow up their Club World Cup victory. In all competitions, the Blues have now won five games in a row.

Lille were held to a 0-0 draw by Metz on Friday night, giving them only two wins in their past seven games. With a 1-0 win at Montpellier, they ended a three-match losing streak on the road.

Chelsea may have had to battle hard for those three points against Crystal Palace, but they should make it six wins in a row on Tuesday.

Prediction: Chelsea 2-0 Lille

Villarreal vs Juventus

Villarreal is unbeaten in four games heading into Tuesday's match against Juventus, and thrashed Granada 4-1 on Saturday. They have only lost to Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid in their last six games at home.

In the year 2022, Juventus has only lost once in all competitions, and it was against Inter in the Supercoppa Italiana. They did surrender points on Friday night, drawing 1-1 with Torino, their Turin rivals.

Villarreal will be hopeful of gaining a first-leg edge, given Juventus' injury issues at the back.

Atletico Madrid vs Manchester United

Atletico Madrid has lost seven of their last 13 games in all competitions, but they did win 3-0 away to Osasuna on Saturday. This isn't your typical Atletico.

Manchester United won another nail-biting encounter over the weekend, this time defeating Leeds 4-2 away from home. In their last eight away games, they have gone undefeated.

Prediction: Atletico Madrid 1-1 Manchester United

Benfica vs Ajax

On Friday night, Benfica were held to a 2-2 draw by Boavista, allowing them to lose position in the title chase. The team did well to advance from their Champions League group, but they have only won two of their last five home games.

Ajax, on the other hand, stretched their winning streak to ten games with a 1-0 victory over Willem II. They haven't lost an away game all season and have a perfect record in the Champions League, progressing to the last 16.

Given Ajax's excellent away record this season, they should take the opening leg on Wednesday.
