Bayern Munich vs Villarreal
Bayern Munich were unable to capitalize on their superiority in the first leg, losing 1-0 in Spain last week. However, they battled in the first leg of their last-16 match against Salzburg in Austria before annihilating them at the Allianz, and fans will be hoping for a repeat performance here.
Villarreal could come to regret their wasted opportunities at El Madrigal. The La Liga side has lost three of their past four away games, but their lone win came against European heavyweights Juventus, so they can't be ruled out here.
With the support of the Bayern fans, the German team should be able to avenge last week's loss and secure a place in the semi-finals.
Prediction: Bayern Munich 3-1 Villarreal
Real Madrid vs Chelsea
Real Madrid dominated the first leg at Stamford Bridge, with a Karim Benzema-inspired effort resulting in a 3-1 victory for Los Blancos. The La Liga side has now won eight of their previous nine competitive matches, with the exception of a 4-0 Clasico defeat.
Chelsea bounced back from their defeat to Real Madrid with a 6-0 thrashing of Southampton on Saturday. That win broke a run of back-to-back defeats, and they have now won eight of their previous nine games away from Stamford Bridge, with their only defeat coming in the Carabao Cup final loss to Liverpool at Wembley.
On the south coast, the Blues appeared to have regained their swagger, but Real Madrid should see out their quarter-final encounter and advance to the next stage of the Champions League on Tuesday night.
Prediction: Real Madrid 2-1 Chelsea
Atletico Madrid vs Manchester City
In the first leg in Manchester, Atletico took a cautious approach, and the same may be expected at the Wanda Metropolitano on Wednesday night. Diego Simeone has already presided over back-to-back defeats, which does not bode well ahead of Manchester City's visit.
On Sunday afternoon, Pep Guardiola's side drew 2-2 with Liverpool in a thrilling top-of-the-table game. City has now gone nine games without defeat and has won six of their past seven away games.
Atletico Madrid is unbeaten in four games at the Wanda Metropolitano, and while that streak could continue in midweek, City remain the clear favorites to advance to the semi-finals.
Prediction: Atletico Madrid 1-1 Man City
Liverpool vs Benfica
After Luis Diaz's late goal made it 3-1 in Lisbon last week, Liverpool has a commanding lead in this tie. Jurgen Klopp's team did lose to Inter in the Champions League last round after winning the first leg at Anfield, but they should have too much for Benfica on Wednesday.
With clean sheets away to Barcelona and Ajax in the Champions League, Benfica has shown they can be difficult to break down, but they have also suffered a crushing 5-2 defeat at Bayern Munich this season. The fact that they have only won once in the competition away from home this season doesn't augur well for their hopes of making up the gap.
Prediction: Liverpool 2-0 Benfica
