Benfica vs Liverpool

Benfica pulled off an upset to reach the quarter-finals, defeating Ajax 3-2 on aggregate to set up a clash with Liverpool. The Portuguese team is unbeaten in five games at home, but they've only won three of them, and they're coming off a 3-2 loss at Braga.

After Saturday's 2-0 win over Watford, Liverpool has won four games in a row. The Reds have only lost once in 2022, against Inter in the last-16 at Anfield, as they prepare to face Benfica for the first time since 2010.

Liverpool have been brilliant on the road recently and should extend their winning streak to eight games at the cost of Benfica.

Manchester City vs Atletico Madrid

Manchester City won 2-0 against Burnley on Saturday, extending their unbeaten run to seven games. Pep Guardiola's side has struggled at home recently, winning only one of their past three home games, but one of those was a 0-0 tie with Sporting CP after being 5-0 up on aggregate.

Atletico Madrid extended their winning streak to six games with a 4-1 triumph against Alaves, which includes a 1-0 success over Manchester City rivals United at Old Trafford last month. This will be the first time City and Atleti have faced each other in a competitive match.

Prediction: Manchester City 2-1 Atletico Madrid

Villarreal vs Bayern Munich

Villarreal has lost three of their past five games after suffering back-to-back defeats. Furthermore, the Yellow Submarine have only won one of their four Champions League home matches this season.

Bayern Munich won both of their matches before the international break, scoring eight goals in total. However, they have only won two of their past five road games, and in February, they were held by Salzburg in Austria.

Nonetheless, Bayern Munich made a sensational comeback to domestic duty on Saturday with a 4-1 victory over Freiburg, and they have the ability to secure a first-leg advantage.

Prediction: Villarreal 1-3 Bayern Munich

Chelsea vs Real Madrid

Chelsea's six-game winning streak came to an end on Saturday as they were defeated 4-1 at home by West London rivals Brentford. Last season, these two clashed in the semi-finals, with the Blues winning the second leg 2-0 at Stamford Bridge.

Real Madrid bounced back from a 4-0 Clasico loss to Barcelona before the international break with a 2-1 victory over Celta Vigo at the weekend. Los Blancos have won their past three away games, but their most recent match was a loss.

They lost a Champions League game on the road to PSG in February. This should be a close match in west London, with a chance of a draw.
