AC Milan vs Udinese
Milan will try to start their championship defense in style when they play Udinese at Stadio San Siro after crushing Vicenza 6-1 in their previous warm-up game. The Rossoneri scored goals like they were going out of style throughout the preseason, and we have little doubt that they'll play similarly aggressively on Saturday. Samu Castillejo, Franck Kessie, and Alessio Romagnoli left the team over the summer, but Divock Origi and Charles De Ketelaere, two new additions, could help the defending champions get better.
Before the first game of the season, the home team is injury-free. The Zebrette, on the other hand, did not defeat Milan in their previous five games at Stadio San Siro, which is likely the primary factor favoring a home victory. The Buta-Arslan pair cannot be relied upon to win the first game for Udinese.
Prediction: AC Milan 1-0 Udinese
Lecce vs Inter Milan
Lecce will want to start off their re-entry into the Italian top division strongly, but a rampaging Inter Milan team that has a vastly superior and more experienced roster stands in their way.
We anticipate a one-sided contest, with the Nerazzurri winning easily.
Prediction: Lecce 0-3 Inter Milan
Salernitana vs AS Roma
The season's first game takes place at Stadio Arechi against Salernitana and Roma. Salernitana secured the elite division's survival in the previous season finale thanks to outstanding performances, and they are pursuing the same goal in the upcoming domestic campaign. I Granata, however, lost shockingly to Parma 2-0 in their Coppa Italia debut, and as a result, the bookmakers rate them as underdogs in the matchup on Sunday. The lone player missing from the home team should be defender Matteo Lovato.
Contrarily, the Giallorossi fared well to add players like Nemanja Matic, Georginio Wijnaldum, Zeki Celik, and Paulo Dybala during the summer transfer window, which is likely the primary factor in our decision to back Jose Mourinho's team. Except for the injured knee of midfielder Ebrima Darboe, the Special One should have a full team to pick from.
Predcition: Salernitana 0-3 AS Roma
Juventus vs Sassuolo
When Juventus plays Sassuolo at the Allianz Stadium on Monday, they'll be looking to get their Serie A season off to a terrific start. During the summer transfer window, the club management did well by bringing in players like Andrea Cambiaso, Paul Pogba, Angel Di Maria, and Bremer, but Paulo Dybala, Federico Bernardeschi, and Matthijs de Ligt are no longer on the roster. Juve is eager to win back the Scudetto, so we know they'll attack Sassuolo with all of their might.
While Filip Djuricic, a Serbian forward, signed Sampdoria on a free transfer, the Neroverdi will be without him for the next Serie A season. Agustin Alvarez, a Sassuolo summer acquisition, is expected to play against Juventus, but Massimiliano Allegri's team is anxious to get off to a fast start this year, so the visitors are unlikely to come away with anything. But keep in mind that Adrien Rabiot, Federico Chiesa, Weston McKennie, and Paul Pogba are all out due to injuries.
Prediction: Juventus 2-1 Sassuolo
