AC Milan 4-2 Udinese

The new season got off to a fast start for AC Milan. Unlike in the past, the Rossoneri defeated Udinese convincingly 4-2 despite being a traditionally tough foe. The winning Italian team delivered a strong message. By winning back-to-back titles, AC Milan shown that they are the team to bet on this season.

Lecce 1-2 Inter Milan

In their opening Serie A match of the year on Saturday, Inter defeated Lecce 2-1 thanks to a last-second goal from Denzel Dumfries.

In the fifth minute of added time, after striker Lautaro Martinez had gathered a corner kick from Nicolo Barella, the ball deflected off Dumfries' chest and into the goal.

Romelu Lukaku scored a spectacular header two minutes into the game to kick off his second tenure at Inter.

Less than a year after becoming Chelsea's record acquisition and playing a key role in Inter's title-winning 2020–21 season, the Belgian striker returned to the club on a season-long loan.

After Federico Dimarco's excellent cross was deflected by Matteo Darmian, striker Romelu Lukaku blasted the ball into the goal.

Forward However, Assan Ceesay expertly scored an equalizer for Lecce in the 48th minute from a tight angle, making a fool of Inter's defense.

Despite having the most of the ball, Inter missed numerous opportunities during the game.

In the 36th minute, midfielder Barella attempted to find Lukaku in the middle of the box with a long pass, but Lecce midfielder Alexis Blin sprinted out to block him.

In the ninth minute, Wladimiro Falcone of Lecce intercepted another long ball that Barella had attempted to make to striker Lautaro Martinez.

Alessandro Bastoni sent a clear cross, and Lautaro, the club's leading scorer the previous season, had the chance to head it in in the 70th minute. However, the Argentina international's header missed the left post by a whisker.

Next Saturday, Inter welcomes Spezia, while Lecce travels to Sassuolo the same day.

Salernitana 0-1 AS Roma

Despite wasting numerous opportunities in their opening Serie A game of the year on Sunday, Roma defeated Salernitana 1-0 thanks to a goal from Bryan Cristante.

The Giallorossi had a busy transfer window, bolstering their roster in the summer by bringing in Paulo Dybala, Nemanja Matic, and Georginio Wijnaldum.

Roma attacked right away, and in the first few seconds Zaniolo's shot hit the post before goalkeeper Luigi Sepe stopped his volley.

In the 32nd minute, the opposition scored when a loose ball dropped to Cristante, whose shot took a tiny deflection to beat Sepe.

Additionally, Dybala had an opportunity, but his low strike only managed to bounce off the goalpost, and Tammy Abraham's follow-up was stopped.

Juventus 3-0 Sassuolo

Juventus defeated Sassuolo 3-0 in their Serie A debut, with Dusan Vlahovic scoring twice and Angel Di Maria scoring in his debut.

Deep inside the visitors' penalty area, Alex Sandro found Di Maria, who watched his volley drive hit the ground before bouncing past Andrea Consigli to give the hosts the lead.

Vlahovic quickly joined the action and did a great job of getting Gian Marco Ferrari to commit a foul to earn a penalty just before halftime. From the penalty spot, he kicked the ball straight down the centre to double Juventus' advantage.

When Di Maria took advantage of a disastrous Sassuolo blunder on the edge of the box, Juventus increased their lead.

Vlahovic scored his second goal of the match after the Argentine capitalized on a stray pass to find him.

Although Juventus didn't have an easy time of it in the first 20 minutes of the game, Mattia Perin, who was playing in Wojciech Szczesny's place, stood out by stopping a number of Sassuolo attempts.

As they continued to secure all three points in their inaugural game, Juventus let up a bit toward the conclusion of the second half.
