Roma vs Venezia
When Roma hosts Venezia at the Stadio Olimpico on Matchday 37, they will be looking to avenge a 2-0 setback to Roma. The Romans want to secure their place in the Europa League, and they won't get a better chance than tonight to do so. Mancini has been suspended for the encounter, while Armenian international Mkhitaryan is still recovering in the hospital.
The bottom-placed team, on the other hand, has never been competitive at this level, and as a result, their chances of surviving Serie A are limited. Venezia has already lost 12 games on the road this season, which is just more reason to favor a home victory. Modolo, Romero, and Lezzerini are all injured for the visitors, but Johnsen and Aramu are pressing for recalls after scoring in a 4-3 win over Bologna.
Prediction: Roma 3-0 Venezia
AC Milan vs Atalanta
AC Milan will look to build on their Serie A triumph over Hellas Verona last time out. AC Milan has scored eight goals in their last six games under Stefano Pioli. The matching number of goals scored against them in the same time period is 5.
Atalanta is coming off a 1-3 Serie A victory against Spezia in their most recent match. Goals have been witnessed as many as 23 times in the previous six games in which Atalanta has sent out their soldiers, providing a mean average of 3.83 goals per match. Opposing teams have accounted for 11 of the total.
Prediction: AC Milan 1-1 Atalanta
Cagliari vs Inter Milan
Inter's goal in the final two weeks of the Serie A season is to catch up to city rivals Milan in what is quickly becoming one of Europe's most thrilling title battles.
Prior to the penultimate weekend of the season, Simone Inzaghi's defending champions trail the current league leaders by two points, and they need maximum points to keep the pressure on Stefano Pioli's side. Inter require a mistake from their San Siro rivals, and they come into this match in fantastic Serie A form, having won five of their past six league games.
Cagliari, on the other hand, has only won once in their last nine league matches. If the Isolani lose this game and Salernitana defeats Empoli on Saturday, they will be relegated. The visitors are unlikely to sympathize with their hosts' situation, and they have recently been engaged in some high-scoring matches. Over 2.5 goals have been scored in seven of their past eight games.
Prediction: Cagliari 1-2 Inter Milan
Juventus vs Lazio
When Juventus and Lazio meet in the Serie A rivalry at Allianz Stadium, there will be fireworks. The Biancocelesti hope to build on back-to-back victories over Spezia and Sampdoria, but defeating Juventus in Turin is a tall order. Despite failing to score in his last league match, Ciro Immobile should continue to lead the line for the visitors, although Pedro is a significant doubt.
The Bianconeri, on the other hand, are looking to avenge their 2-1 defeat to Genoa. Juventus are a formidable opponent at home, which is perhaps the major reason why we will back Dusan Vlahovic and his teammates. All of Chiesa, Kaio Jorge, and Mckennie are still out due to injuries, while Locatelli and Danilo are back in the mix. Juve defeated Lazio 2-0 at Stadio Olimpico in the first half of the season.
Prediction: Juventus 2-1 Lazio
