Roma 1-1 Venezia

Roma were frustrated in their final home encounter of the season, drawing 1-1 against Venezia, who had already been relegated.

The result was devastating for the Giallorossi, who missed out on a chance to rank fifth or sixth in Serie A.

Roma had plenty of chances to score with legends Francesco Totti and Daniele De Rossi in the bleachers, but they couldn't reach the back of the net.

Despite playing with ten men for over sixty minutes, Roma's assault missed several chances to score.

Jose Mourinho's team finished with a 3.02 expected goal (xG) total, compared to the Venetians' 0.34.

The Giallorossi hit the crossbar four times in total and had to wait until the 76th minute for Eldor Shomurodov to finally score.

Roma came close to scoring a winner through midfielder Bryan Cristante moments later, but it wasn't to be, as Roma had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Despite the sad outcome, the atmosphere at the Stadio Olimpico was extremely upbeat, with fans cheering for Mourinho and his players ahead of the Giallorossi's Conference League final on May 25th in Tirana.

AC Milan 2-0 Atalanta

AC Milan defeated Atalanta 2-0 at San Siro on Sunday, with a Rafael Leao goal and a spectacular solo performance from Theo Hernandez putting the Rossoneri on the verge of winning their first Serie A title in 11 years.

By avoiding defeat at Sassuolo on the last day of the season, Stefano Pioli's squad will be proclaimed champions.

Atalanta striker Luis Muriel came closest when he launched a ferocious effort from outside the box on the half-hour mark, which Mike Maignan had to punch away with a spring to his left.

Milan dominated possession but failed to put the visitors' goalkeeper Juan Musso to the test, while Olivier Giroud's penalty claims just before halftime were met with a card after he was pulled back by Berat Djimsiti while chasing a long pass.

Stefano Pioli eventually looked to his bench for inspiration, sending on Ante Rebic and Junior Messias. Within two minutes of the latter's introduction, he had set up Leao, who chased down the Brazilian's pass and hammered home a low shot in the 56th minute.

Replacement for Atalanta Duvan Zapata made an impact but couldn't convert his opportunities, firing over a shot and shooting wide from a free header, and Hernandez made the Colombian pay for his wastefulness.

The French full-back went on a mazy run deep inside his own half, dribbling all the way into the Atalanta box and found the bottom corner to send Rossoneri fans into a frenzy they hadn't experienced in almost a decade.

Cagliari 1-3 Inter Milan

After Inter's 3-1 away win over relegation-threatened Cagliari on Sunday night, the Serie A title race will go down to the wire.

The victory, which was secured thanks to a Matteo Darmian header and a brace from Lautaro Martinez, means the two Milan teams will go into next weekend's matches separated by two points in first and second place, respectively.

Inter put Alessio Cragno into action after just three minutes, when Ivan Perisic, who is about to leave the club, struck from the edge of the box.

This early warning shot would be a foreshadowing of things to come, as Milan Skriniar unorthodoxly forced Hakan Calhanoglu's free kick over the line moments later. The strike, however, was ruled out for handball after a VAR review.

When the ball fell sweetly to Razvan Marin, the Cagliari midfielder could not convert, Inter were almost made to lament their near misses.

Juventus 2-2 Lazio

Sergej Milinkovic-stoppage-time Savic's goal secured Lazio a 2-2 draw against Juventus in Serie A on Monday, securing the Rome club's place in next season's Europa League and overshadowing Giorgio Chiellini and Paulo Dybala's goodbye.

Juventus could take the game to Lazio with the pressure off after taking the lead in the 10th minute thanks to Dusan Vlahovic's soaring header.

After that, veteran defender Chiellini was pulled off early and given a standing ovation by the Juventus supporters in what will be his final home match for the club after 18 years in Turin.

In the 36th minute, Spanish striker Alvaro Morata extended Juve's lead, giving their supporters something to smile about after a dismal season overall for Serie A's most successful team.

However, Juve let off the pace in the second half, with Alex Sandro's own goal six minutes after the interval giving Lazio hope of salvaging a point.

Juve coach Massimiliano Allegri took Dybala off for a moment of applause before he too left the club, as the visitors did not look like they had another goal in them.

But, with the game's final kick, Milinkovic-Savic ensured Lazio's fifth-place finish would not be overtaken by Fiorentina's seventh, ensuring a Europa League participation next season.
