Inter Milan 2-0 Verona
With a 2-0 win against Hellas Verona on Saturday, defending Serie A champion Inter Milan drew within one point of league leader and local rival AC Milan.
Ivan Perisic set up both Nicolo Barella and Edin Dzeko goals in the first half.
On Sunday, Milan travels to Torino. Both Milan teams have played the same number of games, but Inter has a game against Bologna that has been postponed. Napoli is level on points with Inter, and will play Fiorentina on Sunday.
Inter was boosted by a 1-0 triumph over Juventus last weekend, but it was without its leading scorer against Verona due to Lautaro Martinez's suspension.
Perisic came close to scoring in the 18th minute, but Verona goalkeeper Lorenzo Montipo saved him with a spectacular stop.
However, four minutes later, the Croatian international set up the opener when he ran down the left wing from halfway and crossed for Barella to fire into the top of the goal.
Perisic headed on a corner for Dzeko to slam into the bottom left corner, doubling Inter's advantage in the 30th minute.
It was Dzeko's 17th goal of the season in all competitions for the 36-year-old.
Verona had chances to tie the game up, but were denied by a combination of poor finishing and superb stops from Samir Handanovic.
Inter came close to scoring a third goal in the 73rd minute, but Montipo saved Danilo D'Ambrosio's shot.

Cagliari 1-2 Juventus
Watch how Juventus overcame Cagliari thanks to a Matthijs de Ligt header and Dusan Vlahovic pushing his way past defenders, but Adrien Rabiot had to brush up on the handball rules.
Paulo Dybala was caught in possession by Razvan Marin for a Joao Pedro opening, giving the Bianconeri the worst possible start in Sardinia.
Luca Pellegrini thought he'd leveled the score with a shot deflected off Rabiot, but the goal was disallowed because the ball impacted his elbow, and in handball, intent is immaterial when leading to a goal.
The Juan Cuadrado cross was nodded in by De Ligt, and Vlahovic battled to prod in Dybala's through ball to turn the game around.

Fikayo Tomori came in the way of Andrea Belotti, and Maignan was forced into action with a flying stop on Vojvoda's effort from the top corner.
