Inter Milan 1-1 Fiorentina

Inter drew 1-1 with Fiorentina at San Siro for the second time in a row on Saturday. The game was played at a high level, with the Viola appearing to be the more dangerous team in the first half. Samir Handanovic made a couple of critical saves, while Inter defenders produced some crucial blocks to keep the score level, and Pietro Terracciano came up with a great save to deny Edin Dzeko.

Early in the second half, Arturo Vidal and Nicolo Barella came close to breaking the deadlock until Lucas Torreira blasted home Nicolas Gonzalez's cross on 50 minutes. Denzel Dumfries headed home Ivan Perisic's perfect cross from the left in the 55th minute to bring Inter back into the game.

As the game drew to a close, Simone Inzaghi's team kept pushing and coming near. On 89 minutes, Alexis Sanchez had a wonderful chance, but Cristiano Biraghi blocked his goalbound shot, before Jonathan Ikone found himself one-on-one with Handanovic in stoppage time, but the goalkeeper made the save to deny Fiorentina from snatching a late win.

Cagliari 0-1 AC Milan

AC Milan won 1-0 against Cagliari on Saturday, maintaining their three-point advantage at the top of Serie A thanks to a superb effort from Ismael Bennacer.

The pressure was on Milan after Napoli's comeback win over Udinese earlier on Saturday, but they had a difficult first half in Sardinia, losing several chances to break the deadlock.

It took the visitors until the 59th minute to get the winner, but it was well worth the wait as Olivier Giroud set up Algerian international Bennacer for a volley into the net from the edge of the penalty area.
Milan escaped a scare late on when Leonardo Pavoletti's last-gasp header hit the crossbar, but the leaders held on to advance to 66 points from 30 games, three ahead of Napoli and six ahead of Inter Milan in third.

Juventus 2-0 Salernitana

With goals from Paulo Dybala and Dusan Vlahovic, Juventus got back on track with a comfortable win over Serie A's basement club Salernitana.

This was the ideal match for Massimiliano Allegri's team after their humiliating Champions League defeat at the hands of Villarreal in midweek, and they were up after only five minutes.

Dybala showed terrific feet in the area, turning inside a defender and then driving inside the near post. His creativity was badly missed on Wednesday.

Vlahovic rose highest in the six-yard area to head home Mattia De Sciglio's cross a minute before the half-hour mark, doubling the lead.

From this point on, there was no drama, as the Turin giants were convinced that the three points, which kept them within seven points of leaders AC Milan, were already theirs.

AS Roma 3-0 Lazio

a 3-0 victory over Lazio on Sunday, thanks to a double from English attacker Tammy Abraham.

Abraham took less than a minute to score from close range from a corner in the Stadio Olimpico, with Lazio's marking leaving a lot to be desired.

In the 22nd minute, the former Chelsea striker heroically got on the end of a Rick Karsdorp cross to double Roma's lead, bringing his Serie A tally to 15 for the season.

Abraham has now scored 23 goals in all competitions this season, which is two more than Argentine great Gabriel Batistuta scored in his first year in Rome.

Lorenzo Pellegrini, on the other hand, was named Player of the Match after curling a magnificent free kick into the net five minutes before halftime to virtually terminate the derby as a battle.

Lazio were unable to mount a comeback in the second half, and Roma moved into fifth place in Serie A with 51 points, eight points behind Juventus in fourth.
