Massimiliano Allegri made eight changes from his team's Supercoppa Italia derby loss to Inter Milan on Wednesday night, and his players didn't waste any time getting going, as Juventus took the lead in the 18th minute.

Arthur and Moise Kean exchanged one-touch passes before the latter fed Paulo Dybala, who finished superbly with his left foot into the top corner to give his team the lead.

During the second half, the hosts allowed Gabriele Cioffi's Udinese side to claw their way back into the game, but with just over ten minutes remaining, Mattia De Sciglio's half-volley cross was headed in at the back post by Weston McKennie to give the Bianconeri a crucial three points.

AS Roma 1-0 Cagliari

The lowly visitors were denied an equalizer by the crossbar in the closing minutes as Roma edged off Cagliari on Sunday evening.

After having one penalty disallowed by VAR early on, Roma were awarded another by chance when Sergio Oliveira's effort was blocked by Dalbert's arm from close range.

The Giallorossi's Portuguese midfielder, making his debut, sent the goalie the wrong way from the penalty spot, but despite being clearly the better side from this point on, Roma were unable to extend their lead.

With four minutes remaining, they were almost punished when Joao Pedro's low cross was headed at goal by Nahitan Handez, only for Rui Patricio to tip the ball over the bar.

The victory ends Jose Mourinho's side's two-game losing streak and moves them over city rivals Lazio into sixth place.

Atalanta 0-0 Inter Milan

Inter Milan lost for the first time in almost two months in Serie A, as Atalanta held the league leaders to a 0-0 draw on Sunday, ending their eight-match winning streak.

In the first half, Atalanta goalkeeper Juan Musso made a remarkable save, but Inter's Samir Handanovic reacted with two vital saves of his own after the break.

Despite a combined 23 shots, neither club could find the breakthrough in a fight between two of the division's most offensive teams.

AC Milan 1-2 Spezia

In a disputed encounter at San Siro on Monday, Emmanuel Gyasi scored a dramatic 96th-minute winner as relegation-threatened Spezia came from behind to upset AC Milan 2-1, throwing a dent in the home side's Serie A title chances.

After Theo Hernandez missed a penalty, in-form Milan winger Rafael Leao put his side ahead towards the conclusion of the first half, but the visitors equalized through substitute Kevin Agudelo.

When Junior Messi curled home in stoppage time for the hosts, the referee's whistle had already sounded for an earlier foul on Milan's Ante Rebic, and Spezia then hit on the break to win it at the finish.
