Despite missing a number of key players due to injury, Covid-19, and international duty, the Rossoneri were able to secure all three points with relative ease.

The game got off to a tumultuous start as Milan were awarded a penalty after only seven minutes of play. Tammy Abraham was the one who made the mistake of extending his arm to block Theo Hernandez's well-placed shot.

A penalty kick was granted after a VAR review, and Olivier Giroud made no mistake from 12 yards, sending Rui Patricio the wrong way.

It was soon 2-0, and Roma were once again the architects of their own demise. Roger Ibanez's back pass was underhit, allowing Giroud to steal the ball and roll an effort off the post. Junior Messias, fortunately for the hosts, was on hand to sweep home the rebound.

Juventus 1-1 Napoli

Napoli dropped points in the Serie A title chase after drawing 1-1 against Juventus on Thursday night.

Early on, Juve dominated and should have taken the lead when Weston McKennie met Federico Bernardeschi's corner, but the American could only nod wide from the box.

The visitors seized the lead against the run of play, as Dries Mertens collected Matteo Politano's layoff and fired past both Wojciech Szczesny and the retreating Matthijs de Ligt.

Napoli appeared to have taken the initiative, but they were punished when Federico Chiesa scored from beyond the box thanks to a deflection from Stanislav Lobotka.

Napoli is now six points behind Serie A leaders Inter, who had their game against Roma postponed on Thursday, and five points behind Milan, who defeated Roma 3-1. Juve, on the other hand, is in fifth place, three points behind fourth-placed Atalanta.
