Burnley 0-4 Chelsea

On Saturday afternoon, Thomas Tuchel's Chelsea defeated Burnley 0-4 at Turf Moor.

Reece James turned Dwight McNeil inside out before hitting a low shot past Nick Pope to give Chelsea the lead in the 47th minute.

In the 53rd minute, a Christian Pulisic cross found the head of Kai Havertz, who headed past Pope to make it 2-0.

It was 3-0 after two minutes. After a great team move, James crosses to Havertz, who bundles the ball into an empty net.

Christian Pulisic made it 4-0 in the 69th minute when James Tarkowski misread a cross from Saul, allowing the American to score and increase the blues' lead.

Chelsea has closed the gap on second-placed Liverpool to just seven points.

Liverpool 1-0 West Ham

On Sunday, West Ham United were defeated by Liverpool by a slim margin, but their performance provided plenty of cause for optimism.

Sadio Mané's goal in the 27th minute proved to be the difference in a tense match at Anfield.

Although Liverpool controlled the majority of the possession, West Ham had their chances and might have easily earned a point.

Trent Alexander-Arnold cleared a shot off the line for Pablo Fornals, and Manuel Lanzini fired over from close range, but the Hammers were unable to beat Alisson in the home goal.

Watford 2-3 Arsenal

After exchanging passes with Saka in the early moments, Martin Odegaard slipped a low finish past Ben Foster for the first of three beautifully-worked Arsenal goals (5).

Cucho Hernandez smashed home a spectacular overhead kick from Kiko Femenia's right-wing cross to give Watford the lead for the first time in the game (11).

When the exceptional Saka regained possession high up the pitch and found Alexandre Lacazette, who backheeled the ball back into his path, allowing him to loft a powerful finish high into the net from just inside the Watford box, the Gunners grabbed control of the game and the top-four chase (30).

After manager Mikel Arteta had promptly retrieved the ball for a throw-in, Arsenal doubled their advantage shortly after half-time when Gabriel Martinelli rifled home from beyond the box following a superb play involving Cedric Soares, Odegaard, and Lacazette (52).

Watford, on the other hand, continued to threaten, and after Arsenal substitute Eddie Nketiah had struck the post, Moussa Sissoko equalized (87) with an angled strike, setting up a tense conclusion for the traveling fans.

Tottenham 5-0 Everton

Antonio Conte's side punished a poor Everton side with a brace from Harry Kane.

In the 14th minute, Michael Keane scored a disastrous own goal, and Son Heung-min made it 2-0 before Kane scored his first of the evening to make it 3-0 at the break.

With his first touch of the game, halftime substitute Sergio Reguilon made it 4-0, and Kane's magnificent volley capped Everton's wretched journey to the capital.

Tottenham has now scored nine goals without reply in their previous two league games, putting them level on 45 points with West Ham United, who have played two games fewer.
