Arsenal 2-1 Brentford
Arsenal headed into halftime dissatisfied after controlling the opening half but failing to score.
Arsenal had 16 efforts in the first half, a Premier League record for a team in the first half this season, but just two were on target as the sides went in level at 0-0. Alexandre Lacazette had an effort called out for a tight offside ruling.
The Gunners' frustrations were short-lived, as Smith Rowe slipped past two defenders before shooting past Raya and into the bottom corner for his 10th goal of the season in all competitions.
At the Emirates Stadium, the points were seemingly sealed when Saka capped off a brilliant Arsenal counter-attack with a strike that touched the inside of the post and went in.
Christian Norgaard rushed home to give Brentford a lifeline right at the death. After the goal was initially ruled out by an offside flag, VAR intervened to award the goal, but there was no time for the visitors to grab a point as the Gunners hung on for what may prove to be a critical victory.

Liverpool 3-1 Norwich
When Kostas Tsimikas blasted high and wide in the first half, the Reds should have been ahead, but the game ended all square at halftime.
Despite their dominance, they fell behind in the 48th minute when Milot Rashica's drive bounced off Joel Matip and into the net past Alisson.
The goal energised Liverpool, who were rewarded 16 minutes later with a magnificent equalizer from Sadio Mane.
Three minutes later, they were in ahead when Alisson found Mohamed Salah, who deceived the Canaries' defense and slotted home calmly.
After Jordan Henderson's wonderful through ball, Luis Diaz chipped past Angus Gunn in the 81st minute to win the game.

Crystal Palace 0-1 Chelsea
Chelsea resumed Premier League action with a win over Crystal Palace, thanks to a late goal from Hakim Ziyech.
After winning the Club World Cup in Abu Dhabi, the Blues struggled to build on their victory with an uninspiring performance in South London.
When Hakim Ziyech pounced after Romelu Lukaku's attempt was blocked 15 minutes from time, Thomas Tuchel's side felt they had a winner.
However, while the game remained goalless, VAR deemed Lukaku offside in the build-up.
They did, however, score the game-winning goal when Ziyech volleyed in with fantastic technique late in the game.

Leeds 2-4 Manchester United
Manchester United came back from behind two goals in the space of a minute to defeat Leeds United 4-2 at Elland Road in a tense match.
Substitute goals from Fred and Anthony Elanga in the second half proved decisive for Ralf Rangnick's side, who clinched a crucial three points in their pursuit of a top-four finish.
After Leeds United had rescued a two-goal deficit with two goals from Harry Maguire and Bruno Fernandes in the first half, Fred's goal turned the game back to the visitors.
Leeds showed no shortage of tenacity in a game played against the backdrop of heavy rain that slowed down the pitch. They scored twice in the span of a minute immediately after the break.
Rodrigo Moreno's cross floated over David De Gea, who was caught off guard, before Raphinha — a half-time substitution – netted at the back post, sending the home crowd into raptures.
