Philippe Coutinho came off the bench to spark an Aston Villa comeback in a tense 2-2 draw at Villa Park against Manchester United.

Bruno Fernandes scored in both half to put United on course for a second win of the week against Steven Gerrard's side, with the first goal coming as a result of a poor blunder by Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez.

In the second half, Villa improved significantly, but Coutinho was on his way off the bench when Fernandes scored an unbelievable goal in the 67th minute.

Coutinho was quickly involved, and 10 minutes later he played a key role in Villa's comeback with a well-worked goal scored by Jacob Ramsey.

Liverpool 3-0 Brentford

Liverpool beat Brentford 3-0 at Anfield on Sunday afternoon, with goals from Fabinho, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and Takumi Minamino.

Throughout the first half, the Reds huffed and puffed, unable to break down the visitors' defence, until they were awarded the opener right before halftime.

Because of the Bees' defence, Fabinho was able to sneak in at the back post and tip in Trent Alexander-corner, Arnold's which had bounced in the box.

While the hosts seemed a little lost up front without AFCON combo Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, their continuous possession and pressure ultimately paid off when Oxlade-Chamberlain gave them a 2-0 lead.

Brentford's defence was slow to react to Andy Robertson's cross, allowing Oxlade-Chamberlain to steal in behind Ethan Pinnock and head in.
