Liverpool vs Leeds United
Liverpool will try to get back on track as they welcome Leeds United to Anfield on Matchday 19 after surrendering two points in a 2-2 draw with Spurs. The Reds are aiming for their sixth win in a row at home, and they're sure to continue their attack-minded style. Thiago, Fabinho, Jones, and van Dijk are all expected to miss out due to illness, while Eliott and Origi are injured. Andy Robertson has been suspended for the encounter after receiving a red card in the draw with Tottenham.
On the other hand, the Whites are experiencing a forgettable season. Leeds are in danger ahead of their trip to Liverpool, and anything other than a simple home win would be a significant surprise considering their fragile defense. All of Rodrigo, Bamford, Shackleton, Phillips, James, Cresswell, and Cooper are still out due to injury, while Diego Llorente has been diagnosed with coronavirus.
Prediction: Liverpool 4-1 Leeds United
Tottenham vs Crystal Palace
When Tottenham and Crystal Palace meet in the local derby on Matchday 19, there will be fireworks. Spurs shared the spoils with Liverpool in their previous league match after three straight wins, and they will no doubt be in great spirits ahead of the London derby. At the weekend, Harry Kane finally broke the deadlock, and considering Spurs' December form, we believe a home win should be considered.
Cristian Romero is still in the hospital, but he should be the sole player on the bench for the visitors. In their most recent league meeting, the Eagles were held to a 2-2 draw by Southampton. Palace, on the other hand, puts up considerably stronger performances at home than on the road, which is why we're tempted to choose Antonio Conte's team. The visiting side continues to be without Nathan Ferguson and James McArthur.
Prediction: Tottenham 2-0 Crystal Palace
Norwich City vs Arsenal
When this Boxing Day match begins, it will have been 12 days since Norwich's last game. The Canaries have lost three of their previous five games and are rooted to the bottom of the standings.
Arsenal qualified for the Carabao Cup semi-finals with a 5-1 win over Sunderland on Tuesday night, and they have now won four consecutive games. Last weekend's win at Leeds broke a three-game road losing streak.
The Gunners are in terrific form heading into Sunday's encounter and should win for the fifth time in a row at the cost of Norwich.
Prediction: Norwich City 0-2 Arsenal
Manchester City vs Leicester City
If Liverpool beat Leeds United earlier in the day, Man City will have slipped to second by the time they kick off at the Etihad. A point will be enough to retain Pep Guardiola's side at the top of the table, regardless of the outcome at Anfield.
The Citizens host the Foxes, who have won each of their past eight Premier League matches, scoring 12 goals without reply in their last three games. They've also won eight of their last ten Premier League meetings with Leicester, and have gone undefeated in their last eight Boxing Day home games.
Last time out, the Foxes scored four goals past a struggling Newcastle United side to end a four-game losing streak.
Brendan Rodgers will be looking for a second consecutive away win against Guardiola after a 5-2 victory at the Etihad last season.
Prediction: Manchester City vs Leicester City
Aston Villa vs Chelsea
When Chelsea takes on Aston Villa at Villa Park on Sunday evening, they will be looking to stay in the title chase. The Blues have squandered four points in back-to-back draws with Everton and Wolverhampton, and they will no doubt give it their all this weekend to get back on track. Lukaku, Werner, and Hudson-Odoi have all tested positive for coronavirus, while Ben Chilwell is unavailable due to a knee issue. Kai Havertz is widely expected to captain the capital club's offensive line.
The Villans, on the other hand, are looking to build on their 2-0 win over Norwich City after being idle over the weekend. The Villa Park side is doing well under new manager Steven Gerrard, and given the number of absentees in the away lineup, a sharing of the spoils is likely. For the hosts, Davis, Sanson, Traore, Nakamba, El Ghazi, and Bailey are all injured.
Prediction: Aston Villa 1-1 Chelsea
Newcastle vs Manchester United
Newcastle has given up 11 goals in their last three Premier League games, despite playing Leicester, Liverpool, and Manchester City. Eddie Howe, on the other hand, still has a lot of work to do.
Back-to-back postponements have hampered Ralf Rangnick's first few months at Manchester United. Rangnick's first two league games in charge were both 1-0 victories.
In recent years, the manner these two teams have played has resulted in tremendously interesting encounters. In each of the last four games, there have been at least four goals scored by each team.
Don't be surprised if we don't see similar end-to-end action on Monday, with Rangnick seeking more control than his predecessor's gung-ho attitude.
Prediction: Newcastle 1-3 Manchester United
