A thumping win over Leeds United brought Manchester City to the top of EPL table. Chelsea continued their disappointing form with a draw with Everton.

Manchester City 7-0 Leeds United

Kevin De Bruyne scored two goals, and Phil Foden, Jack Grealish, Riyad Mahrez, John Stones, and Nathan Ake all scored.

City dominated from start to end, taking the lead in the seventh minute when Foden scored his 500th league goal under Guardiola with a shot from the edge of the area.

The Catalan achieved the feat faster than any other manager in the competition's history, and he didn't have to wait long for his 501st goal, as Grealish headed home Mahrez's cross after just 12 minutes to increase our lead.

De Bruyne rifled past Illan Meslier to put us three goals up at the break, and Mahrez put the game out of reach four minutes after the restart when his low strike deflected off Junior Firpo and wrong-footed Leeds goalkeeper Meslier.

The best of the goals came from De Bruyne, who smashed a 25-yard drive into the top corner, and Stones added a sixth with a ferocious strike from close range after Meslier had done well to keep out his original attempt.

To finish the score, substitute Ake headed home a Foden corner.

Arsenal 2-0 West Ham

In the first half, Arsenal, led by Alexandre Lacazette, had more clear-cut chances; Kierney's long-range drive was deflected over the bar by Lukasz Fabianski, while Gabriel Martinelli nearly turned in a rebound ahead of the West Ham goalkeeper.

But Martinelli made amends minutes after the break, scoring coolly past Fabianski from a threaded Lacazette through pass (48), before drama with 20 minutes to go as Vladimir Coufal was sent off for a second yellow card for fouling Lacazette in the box (69). West Ham manager David Moyes had few complaints about Anthony Taylor's penalty judgment after the game, but Fabianski made a great save from Lacazette.

Chelsea 1-1 Everton

Everton's first goal, scored by Jarrad Branthwaite, denied Chelsea victory at Stamford Bridge.

In the first half, the Blues pinned Everton's goal under siege, but were unable to take advantage owing to sloppy finishing and an exceptional performance from Jordan Pickford.

Mason Mount put the hosts ahead with a crisp finish 20 minutes from time after a brilliant through-ball from Reece James.

However, Anthony Gordon's inswinging cross from the left flank was turned in at the back post by 19-year-old defender Branthwaite after only four minutes.

The loss puts Chelsea four points behind Premier League leaders Manchester City in the table.

After testing positive for Covid-19, Chelsea forwards Romelu Lukaku, Timo Werner, and Callum Hudson-Odoi all missed the game, while Kai Havertz was also absent due to symptoms.

Liverpool 3-1 Newcastle

The Reds fought back from a goal down to win for the ninth time in all competitions at Anfield.

Jonjo Shelvey gave the visitors a 1-0 lead before Diogo Jota and Mohamed Salah gave Klopp's side a 2-0 halftime lead.

Trent Alexander-Arnold rounded up the scoring with a fantastic effort into the top corner from roughly 25 yards out with 87 minutes left on the clock.
