Manchester City 1–0 Wolverhampton Wanderers

We beat 10-man Wolves thanks to a second-half penalty from Raheem Sterling, ensuring Pep Guardiola's team retained first place.

Sterling celebrated his 100th Premier League goal with a penalty kick, making it a memorable day for him.

Ederson, our Brazilian goalkeeper, also had a remarkable night, as he recorded his 100th clean sheet since joining us from Benfica in 2017.

Ederson demonstrated his worth for the second time in his City career, making two critical saves in the dying minutes to enable Guardiola's team achieve another crucial victory.

Arsenal 3-0 Southampton

Arsenal's stand-in captain on the day, Alexandre Lacazette, gave the Gunners the lead in the 21st minute after Mikel Arteta revealed his captain had been dropped from the squad for a 'disciplinary breach'. After a poor start to the game, it was Arsenal's stand-in captain on the day, Mikel Arteta, who gave the Gunners the lead in the 21st minute.

Six minutes later, Martin Odegaard increased Arsenal's lead, his third goal in as many Premier League games, before Gabriel Magalhaes sealed a brilliant afternoon on the pitch for Arsenal, who had been denied a goal by VAR seconds before.

Arsenal moves up to fifth place after overcoming back-to-back defeats to Manchester United and Everton, ahead of a crucial match against West Ham at the Emirates on Wednesday evening.

Southampton, on the other hand, are in 16th place after going winless in their last five league games.

Chelsea 3-2 Leeds United

Thomas Tuchel will be relieved that his Chelsea team came away with all three points after a thrilling 3-2 victory over Leeds United at Stamford Bridge.

Their home woes have been well chronicled, with back-to-back 1-1 draws with Burnley and Manchester United costing them their place atop the Premier League table.

Tuchel had previously stated that the absence of regular first-team members N'Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic, and Ben Chilwell had resulted in his team's lack of intensity.

Tuchel continued, "We're talking about being relentless." "We chat about N'Golo, Kovacic, and Chilwell," says the coach. "These guys are all about speed."

The Blues put on yet another lackluster performance, falling behind early.

After Marcos Alonso's ill-timed challenge on Daniel James, Raphinha made no mistake from the penalty spot, his side lost another clean sheet.

Despite the loud atmosphere from the away end, the Blues rallied, with Mason Mount tapping home his sixth goal of the season from Alonso's cross.

Liverpool 1-0 Aston Villa

On Steven Gerrard's return to Anfield, Mohamed Salah was the difference as Liverpool defeated Aston Villa 1-0.

Salah won and converted a penalty midway through the second half to keep the pressure on Premier League leaders Manchester City.

Gerrard, who was making his debut appearance as an opponent manager, set his team up to frustrate and they did so for almost an hour, but despite late penalty appeals, Gerrard was left with just good wishes for consolation.

Norwich City 0-1 Manchester United

Ralf Rangnick's second win in two league games as Manchester United manager, as well as a second consecutive clean sheet, came courtesy of a Cristiano Ronaldo penalty. They have risen to fifth place, above Arsenal, while Norwich remain in last place.

The first half was a disaster, with two bad sides playing bad football in a bad game. Even though an Alex Telles free-kick was deflected onto the bar by Josh Sargent, Norwich controlled the majority of the play in the opening 20 minutes without generating anything, and United didn't appear like scoring either, even after they grabbed control of the game around the 20-minute mark.

After the break, things didn't get any better. Norwich had a series of corners without really threatening, and then, on 73 minutes, Max Aarons panicked and grabbed Ronaldo on the wrong side of the pitch. Naturally, Ronaldo shrieked, fell to the ground, and then rose to bury the penalty, and despite Norwich's best efforts, United held on to win courtesy to David De Gea's outstanding performance.
