PSG 2-0 Monaco
After a 2-0 victory at the Parc des Princes, Kylian Mbappe shone against his former club Monaco, extending Paris Saint-advantage Germain's at the top of Ligue 1 to 13 points.
Monaco's eight-game unbeaten streak in all competitions came to an end when Mbappe scored twice in the first half.
PSG has won their first three Ligue 1 games, putting them with a commanding 45-point lead over second-placed Marseille. Monaco, however, is still in seventh place in Ligue 1 with 26 points.
Monaco started well, with Sofiane Diop hitting the inside of the post in the opening two minutes, but PSG seized the lead through Mbappe's penalty kick.
Djibril Sidibe, a former Everton right-back, tripped Angel Di Maria inside the area, and the penalty was granted following a VAR review. Mbappe took a step forward and calmly tucked his finish low to Alexander Nubel's right to put the hosts in front.
In an end-to-end first half, Monaco continued to press for an equalizer and had more possession, but Mbappe scored his 144th PSG goal just before halftime.
Lionel Messi intercepted Youssouf Fofana's clumsy horizontal pass and passed the ball through to Mbappe, who curled the ball into the bottom corner.

Paris St Germain, the league leaders with 42 points after 17 games, will play Monaco later on Sunday.
Marseille dominated the first half at La Meinau, but were unable to break the stalemate, with Strasbourg's Habib Diallo denied an early goal when he was deemed offside in the 13th minute.
For the visitors, though, everything came together in the second half.
With a fantastic bicycle kick from inside the box in the 62nd minute, Dieng put Jorge Sampaoli's team ahead.

After 19 minutes, Dolberg scored from the penalty spot, and Youcef Atal made it 2-0 in the 51st minute. Bourigeaud grabbed one back for Rennes nine minutes later, but it wasn't enough.
Rennes maintains second place with 31 points, while Nice moves up to third place, just one point behind today's opponents.
