Atletico Madrid 2-1 Cadiz

Atletico Madrid, the LaLiga champions, won their fourth straight league game on Friday, defeating Cadiz 2-1 to move into third place in the rankings.

Joao Felix was a key player for Atletico once again, scoring in the third minute after Cadiz goalkeeper Jeremias Ledesma fumbled the ball inside the area and delivered it to the Portuguese attacker.

Felix has scored five goals in his last five games across all competitions, helping Atleti resurrect their title ambitions following a slow start to the season. Real Madrid is 12 points ahead of Diego Simeone's side in the rankings, with 63 points.

On the stroke of halftime, Atletico were pegged back as Cadiz's veteran Alvaro Negredo equalized from a counter-attack. Rodrigo de Paul scored a rebound in the 68th minute to give the champions the lead again.

Atletico ended the game with ten men after replacement Javi Serrano received a straight red card two minutes from time for a brutal challenge.

Atleti's defender Reinildo Mandava had been given a red card at the end of the first half, but the video referee assistance intervened and referee Pablo Gonzalez reversed the call, giving him simply a ticket.

Barcelona 4-0 Osasuna

Following Xavi's warning following their Europa League draw on Thursday, Barcelona's players did exactly that against a battered and bruised Osasuna.

Unlike Galatasaray, Barcelona scored early in the game, which helped to open up the game. Nacho Vidal, an Osasuna right defender, took Gavi down in the box, and Ferran Torres neatly executed the penalty kick.

Pierre-Emerick Soon after, Aubameyang came close to making it two, but he couldn't finish acrobatically from a dinked through-ball, and Torres came near from a beautifully handled free-kick.

Torres made it two with a fantastic assist from Ousmane Dembele, and the French winger repeated the trick to set up Aubameyang for the third.

After the break, Barcelona continued to dominate, with Xavi taking advantage of the opportunity to play several of his team members.

Martin Braithwaite returned from injury, while Riqui Puig, Clement Lenglet, and Oscar Mingueza had their first appearances in a long time.

Riqui scored the fourth goal with a superb individual effort; after his initial shot was saved, he chased it down, rounded the goalkeeper, and took his time to locate the correct finish.

In terms of goals, that was the end of the fun, though Barcelona came near on other times, with a Memphis Depay scorpion kick attempt flying just wide and a Dembele effort being denied.

Mallorca 0-3 Real Madrid

After Vinicius Junior had opened the scoring, Benzema helped himself to a double as the leaders extended their lead over second-placed Sevilla to double figures, with arch-rivals Barcelona a further five points adrift.

The Frenchman, whose hat-trick against PSG guaranteed Madrid's progress to the Champions League quarter-finals last Wednesday evening, was denied by keeper Sergio Rico early on, while Vedat Muriqi and Takefusa Kubo also went close for the hosts inside the first 18 minutes.

With 28 minutes gone, Toni Kroos gave Rico something to think about with a long-range shot, but Mallorca were denied the lead seven minutes later when Pablo Maffeo's shot rebounded back off the upright.

Vinicius finally broke the deadlock 10 minutes after the restart, converting Benzema's pass to put the visitors ahead, and he continued to play a key role as his side extended their lead 13 minutes from time.

Benzema converted a penalty kick after the Brazilian was tripped inside the penalty area by Brian Olivan, and the Frenchman doubled his tally with an 82nd-minute header.
