Villarreal 0-0 Real Madrid
At the Estadio de la Ceramica, Villarreal and Real Madrid played out a goalless draw in their LaLiga match. In the first half, the home team had the upper hand, however Arnaut Danjuma's shot was saved by Thibaut Courtois, and Alberto Moreno's effort was saved by Thibaut Courtois.
Madrid improved in the second half and should have taken all three points. Gareth Bale and Luka Jovic both struck the crossbar, while Nacho Fernandez's effort was saved off the line at the death by Serge Aurier. Perhaps a point apiece is the best outcome.

Atletico Madrid 4-3 Getafe
Atletico Madrid won a seven-goal thriller over Getafe thanks to Mario Hermoso's goal two minutes into time.
In a first half that ended three-all, Atleti had given up a two-goal lead and appeared to be clinging to a point before the replacement acrobatically volleyed home from close range.
Despite Luis Suarez's penalty being saved by David Soria, the hosts dominated the early stages and established a two-goal lead thanks to close-range efforts from Angel Correa and Matheus Cunha.
Borja Mayoral diverted in Jakub Jankto's wayward shot on the half-hour mark, and Getafe went ahead when two penalties were awarded for handballs against Stefan Savic and Tomas Lemar.
Both spot kicks were converted by Enes Unal, who placed them to the goalkeeper's left, with Jan Oblak diving to the right on each occasion.
In injury time of a frantic first half, Correa converted Lemar's cross at the back post to draw the hosts level.
The second half saw significantly less goalmouth activity, but was livened up by Felipe's high boot catching Mayoral, resulting in a dismissal.
Atleti reverted to their old defensive tenacity after this, snatching a stunning victory with time running out.

Espanyol 2-2 Barcelona
Barcelona drew 2-2 against Espanyol on Sunday, with Luuk de Jong salvaging a point with a last-gasp header.
At the RCDE Stadium, Pedri scored after just two minutes, before Sergi Darder equalized with a first-half strike.
In the second half, Espanyol took the lead through Raul de Tomas, but De Jong equalized for Barca in the final seconds of stoppage time. After Gerard Pique and Nicolas Melamed received their second yellow cards following a late collision off the ball, both teams finished with ten men on the field.
Manuel Morlanes, who came on as a late substitute before being hurt, was also sent off on the touchline. Barca finished the weekend in fourth position, four points behind Real Betis, and set a LaLiga record for the most consecutive games without defeat in a derby rivalry (24) with the draw.
