2021-2022 Champions League: Match Previews 7/12
UEFA Champions League 7/12 predictions, previews, team news and more with Bingsport.
PSG vs Club Brugge
PSG will finish the UEFA Champions League group stage on Tuesday when they visit Club Brugge at Parc des Princes.
In their previous match, the Ligue 1 giants were held to a 1-1 draw by Lens, with Georginio Wijnaldum rescuing a point for them with an injury-time winner.
Club Brugge has now lost three games in a row in the competition, but they have done better in the Belgian Pro League, where they beat RFC Seraing 3-2 on Sunday. All three goals were scored in the first half.
In September, the two teams faced each other in the Champions League for the first time in the reverse fixture. At the Jan Breydel Stadium, the game concluded in a 1-1 draw.
The result of the game will have no bearing on PSG's standings in Group A, but a win here might help the visitors qualify for the Europa League knockout stages.
Prediction: PSG 3-1 Club Brugge
RB Leipzig vs Manchester City
Man City have already been declared the group A winners, and we expect them to make it five wins in a row here after winning their past three games in the competition.
Leipzig, on the other hand, are not fools, and they know that a win will secure their place in the Europa League. The Germans, on the other hand, aren't in great shape, having suffered a couple of recent defeats.
With the odds stacked against them in terms of form and, let's be honest, player talent, an in-form City will be too powerful, just as they were the last time they met.
Prediction: RB Leipzig 1-2 Manchester City
Borussia Dortmund vs Beşiktaş
On Tuesday, Borussia Dortmund will host Besiktas at the Westfalenstadion in UEFA Champions League action.
A win for the hosts in their final group stage match could bring them level with Sporting, who face Group C leaders Ajax on Tuesday.
Dortmund will remain in third place in the standings if they win, as Sporting has the upper hand in their head-to-head games with Dortmund. Besiktas has lost five games in a row in the competition and has failed to win a single point in the group stage.
On Saturday, Borussia Dortmund lost 3-2 to Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga, while Besiktas drew 1-1 with Kasimpasa in the Super Lig, extending their losing skid to seven games in all competitions.
Prediction: Borussia Dortmund 2-1 Beşiktaş
Porto vs Atlético Madrid
Porto will go to the next round with a win, but a draw would suffice if AC Milan loses their match against Liverpool. The Portuguese team is in terrific form heading into the game and will be hoping to keep it up this week.
For the first time since the 2017-18 season, Atletico Madrid is in danger of exiting the Champions League at the group stage. Only three of Diego Simeone's ten games have resulted in victories, with only one of them coming away from home. Their problems on the road may prove costly, and we predict this game to end in a draw.
Prediction: Porto 1-1 Atlético Madrid
