Hoffenheim 1-1 Bayern Munich
Despite witnessing the lion's share of the action, Bayern Munich were held to a 1-1 tie by fourth-placed Hoffenheim on Saturday afternoon.
Die Rekordmeister now has 60 points for the season, putting them 10 points ahead of Borussia Dortmund at the top of the Bundesliga table, despite having played two more games than their nearest opponents.
The Bavarians were by far the more dominant force on the day and deserved to gain three points, but their failure to put Hoffenheim to the sword was disappointing after their brutal 7-1 Champions League triumph over RB Salzburg in midweek.
In what were sloppy early moments, it was Hoffenheim who had the best chance to break the deadlock. Despite having two bites at the cherry, Manuel Neuer and Benjamin Pavard combined to deny Croatian Andrej Kramaric a fourth-minute opener.
Bayern regained their calm and began to dominate the game after regaining their composure. After strong chances by Serge Gnabry and Thomas Muller were both blocked by an attentive Oliver Baumann, the visitors put the ball in the net after 27 minutes.

Dortmund 1-0 Arminia
Borussia Dortmund beat Arminia Bielefeld 1-0 on Sunday, with star striker Erling Haaland returning from injury, to cut the Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich's lead to seven points with a game in hand.
In a mainly one-sided game, Marius Wolf tapped in a Thorgan Hazard cutback for the winner in the 21st minute, with Donyell Malen hitting the woodwork twice either side of Wolf's goal.
Haaland, a transfer target for practically every big European team this season, returned just after the hour after missing the first half of the season due to an adductor injury.
The result was much-needed good news for coach Marco Rose after last week's draw with Augsburg, which followed their Europa League demise. Dortmund now has 53 points, while Bayern has 60 points.
Dortmund can close the deficit further on Wednesday when they face Mainz 05 in a match that was postponed last week because to COVID-19 instances in the Mainz squad. Following their 1-0 loss against Cologne, Bayer Leverkusen is in third place with 45 points.
