Bayern Munich thrashed Stuttgart 5-0, with Serge Gnabry scoring a hat-trick and Robert Lewandowski scoring twice. Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund beat Greuther Fürth 3-0 on Wednesday, cutting the gap to leaders Bayern Munich to six points.

Kingsley Coman went off early with a potential hamstring problem for the German champions, who were already without many players due to injury and illness.

But the Bavarians dominated the first half, and it was former Arsenal man Gnabry who broke the deadlock from Leroy Sane's cross with a superb curling first-time attempt.

Stuttgart started the second half strongly, creating two decent chances through Omar Marmoush and Philipp Forster.

After a beautiful fake, Gnabry stroked his shot into the bottom corner to make Bayern pay for losing the ball in a crucial area.

Then, in the space of five minutes, three goals were scored. Sane lofted a ball over the goalie for a 3-0 lead.

After a quick counter attack that concluded with him sliding in to convert Gnabry's low cross, the Pole got his second goal.

After the keeper fumbled Thomas Muller's cross, Gnabry grabbed his deserved hat-trick from close range to finish the rout.

Dortmund 3-0 Furth

For the first half-hour, bottom club Fürth kept their hosts at bay, despite Thorgan Hazard's 25th-minute shot being ruled out for offside. In the 33rd minute, Dortmund was awarded a penalty for handball, which Haaland converted.

Dortmund had to fight hard for their victory, with Cedric Itten wasting a golden opportunity to equalize before halftime. It took until the 82nd minute for Haaland to secure the three points, heading in a Julian Brandt free kick for his 13th league goal of the season and 53rd Bundesliga goal in as many games.

Donyell Malen of the Netherlands added a third goal in the 89th minute with a precise finish at the far post, continuing his own hot streak with his fifth goal in six games in all competitions. Dortmund coach Marco Rose was unimpressed after their first league win in three matches.
